The TCAWV successfully hosted its National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival Celebration Party on October 4th. 

The entire event was a great success! The evening event exceeded our expectations in participation and enthusiasm. Seeing everyone smiling and enjoying time together was truly unforgettable! All of this was made possible thanks to all your support and participation.

非常感謝大家熱情參加我們這次10月4號一系列的兩場講座與中秋聚餐活動！

整個活動非常圓滿成功，無論是上下午的精彩講座，還是晚上的「慶雙十・迎中秋」聚餐，都比原先預期更加踴躍！看到大家滿臉笑容、歡聚一堂的畫面，真讓人倍感難忘！這一切都要感謝各位鄉親的支持與參與。

在活動的尾聲，我們特地分享了從匹茲堡新鮮訂製、幹部們親自前往取回的美味月餅和酥餅。大家一邊品嚐美味月餅，一邊啜飲香茶，伴隨著歡笑與祝福，為這場溫馨又熱鬧的聚會畫下最完美的句點。

The TCAWV hosted its third and forth special lectures on October 4th. As many participants expressed strong interest after the previous two seminars has been overwhelmingly positive, we decided to hold additional, more in-depth panel discussions on financial management topics. 

We will continue to offer more insightful and practical lectures, and we invite everyone to join us in promoting cultural interaction and exchange within our  society.

The TCAWV hosted its second special lecture on August 9th, at the Marriott at Waterfront Place. Guest speaker Eason Yang gave an accessible and highly-praised presentation on tax optimization, retirement planning, asset allocation, and trusts. His talk successfully combined theory with practical application, providing valuable and useful strategies.

The TCAWV team sincerely thanks all attendees for their enthusiastic support and extends special gratitude to the speaker for generously sharing his expertise and time. 西維州台灣文化交流聯誼會 (TCAWV) 於8月9日(星期六) 在 Marriott at Waterfront Place 舉辦的第二場專題講座！本場講座講師Eason Yang以深入淺出的方式介紹稅務優化、退休金規劃、合理的資產配置與信託，獲得與會來賓的高度評價與熱烈回應。並結合理論與實務，提供了專業實用的策略建議。

TCAWV successfully hosted an extraordinary and memorable banquet on July 7th, culminating a vibrant three-day cultural exchange event in Morgantown from July 6th to July 8th. The banquet on July 7 was a resounding success, described by attendees as spectacular, engaging, and highly enjoyable, with an atmosphere so electrifying.

The banquet was packed with highlights, beginning with an engaging speech and a captivating performance by twelve students from Taiwan. The excitement continued with a lively raffle, communal singing of "Take Me Home, Country Roads" and beloved Taiwanese songs, and a stunning performance by Taiwan's Popping dance champion, Wayne, which concluded with guests joining in enthusiastic dancing. Laughter, heartfelt moments, and vibrant energy filled the night, with even older attendees seen tapping their feet and swaying to the music.

The TCAWV team has since been inundated with warm thanks and high praise. Many guests lauded the banquet as an exceptional showcase of the Taiwanese community's vitality and a perfect embodiment of the cultural exchange, community friendship, and partnership between Taiwan and West Virginia. Numerous attendees specifically wrote to express their gratitude to the TCAWV team for making the evening so successful and meaningful.

TCAWV extends its heartfelt thanks to all friends and community members whose enthusiastic participation made the banquet such a moving and brilliant occasion, creating a truly cherished evening for everyone involved.

西維州台灣文化交流聯誼會 (TCAWV) 於7月7日在 Marriott at Waterfront Place, Morgantown 圓滿舉辦了一場盛況空前、精彩非凡的晚宴，為7月6日至7月8日的文化交流活動劃下完美句點。這場晚宴極其成功，深獲與會嘉賓一致好評，現場氣氛熱烈高昂，直至晚間九點半過後，仍令人依依不捨。

晚宴內容豐富多元，精彩紛呈：從引人入勝的演講、來自台灣的十二位學生帶來的精采表演，到歡樂洋溢的抽獎活動、大家齊聲合唱的「Take Me Home, Country Roads」與台灣歌曲，以及台灣街舞 Popping 冠軍 Wayne 的驚艷演出，最後更與來賓們熱情共舞。這是一個充滿歡聲笑語、感動與熱力的夜晚！連年長的貴賓們也情不自禁地隨著音樂搖頭擺動，現場氣氛 truly 沸騰。

TCAWV 團隊接獲了無數熱情的感謝與高度讚揚。各界紛紛表示，這場晚宴是一次絕佳的盛會呈現，不僅展現了台灣社群的活力，更完美體現了台灣與西維吉尼亞州之間的文化交流、社區情誼與夥伴關係。許多人特別致函感謝 TCAWV 工作團隊，讓這個夜晚如此精彩成功且意義非凡。

The Taiwan Youth Overseas Expatriate Bridging Program is to cultivate a global perspective among Taiwan’s next generation of leaders by providing immersive overseas experiences. This initiative aims to deepen students’ understanding of international communities, foster cross-cultural exchange, and strengthen their sense of global citizenship.

Since 2017, Taiwan Overseas Community Affairs Council (OCAC) has promoted the Taiwan Youth Overseas Engagement Program, selecting outstanding students from domestic colleges and universities to visit and observe overseas communities during the summer.

This year’s 2025 program in the Greater Washington, D.C. region includes a 3-day special trip to West Virginia from Sunday, July 6 to Tuesday, July 8. During their visit, students will explore West Virginia University (WVU), WVU Medicine, the Morgantown community, and the natural beauty of the state. Activities include campus tours, cultural engagements, meetings with local leaders, and community immersion. TCAWV is honored to have served as a co-sponsor for this 3-day WV tour event, while OCAC/Culture Center is  primary sponsor.

This immersive experience is designed to broaden the students' global outlook, exemplify the values of international cooperation, and encourage long-term educational and cultural connections between Taiwan and West Virginia.

臺灣青年海外搭僑計畫 - 西維州參訪 (7/6 – 7/8)

臺灣青年海外搭僑計畫旨在透過深入的海外體驗，培育臺灣下一代領袖的全球視野。此項計畫期望增進學生對國際社群的理解，促進跨文化交流，並強化其全球公民意識。

自2017年起，僑務委員會(OCAC) 推動「臺灣青年海外搭僑計畫」，甄選國內各大專院校表現優秀的學生於暑期前往海外社區參訪與觀察。

今年2025年, 搭僑計畫在大華府地區的行程特別包含自7月6日(星期日)至7月8日(星期二)為期三天的西維吉尼亞州參訪行程。學生們造訪西維吉尼亞大學 (WVU)、WVU醫療系統、摩根城（Morgantown）社區，以及當地自然景觀。活動內容包括校園導覽、文化交流、與在地領袖會面，以及深入社區的體驗活動。TCAWV 很榮幸負責西維吉尼亞州行程。感謝僑務委員會與僑教文化中心的支持。

這段深度沉浸式的體驗旨在拓展學生的國際視野，展現國際合作的價值，並促進臺灣與西維吉尼亞州在教育與文化領域的長期連結。

TCAWV is delighted to announce the successful conclusion of our seminar on May 28th! The event received overwhelming positive feedback and enthusiastic responses from all attendees. The seminar offered insightful and valuable information on the challenges and trends in the current international economic and tariff landscape, presented in an accessible manner. Participants expressed that the content was highly beneficial and provided practical inspiration, making it a truly worthwhile experience.

TCAWV Lunar New Year Celebration – A Complete Success!

We sincerely thank all members from West Virginia community for their enthusiastic support! The Lunar New Year luncheon on January 25, 2025 was a resounding success, filled with joy and festive cheer. During the event, everyone happily reunited with old friends they hadn’t seen in a long time, while also making many new friends. The lively atmosphere of the gathering was truly unforgettable!

We would like to extend special thanks to those who traveled from all over West Virginia to join us, as well as to Director Huang of Culture Center, who came all the way from Washington D.C. with his wife and son to participate in our celebration. Their presence made the event even more meaningful.

We deeply appreciate everyone’s enthusiastic participation and support, which made this Lunar New Year celebration such a tremendous success!

感謝所有西維州鄉親僑胞們的熱情支持！1月25日 的農曆新年歡慶午宴在一片喜氣洋洋中圓滿成功，完美落幕。活動中，大家既依依不捨地重逢許久未見的老朋友，也歡欣地結識了更多的新朋友。回想餐會的熱鬧場面，真是讓人難以忘懷！
