The Taiwan Culture Association in West Virginia (TCAWV), established in November 2024 in Morgantown, serves as a vibrant hub for Taiwanese residents, students, and professionals in the region. TCAWV aims to foster cultural exchange, promote Taiwanese heritage, and provide essential information and resources about Taiwan to the local community. Through events, workshops, and networking opportunities, the association supports its members in preserving their cultural identity while creating meaningful connections within the broader West Virginia community.
With a dominant performance on both the mound and in the field, Taiwanese Little League team defeated Nevada 7-0 on Sunday (8/24/2025) at Lamade Stadium to secure its 18th Little League World Series championship.
Our pitcher Lin Chin-Tse was stellar, holding Nevada, the 2025 U.S. Mountain Region champions, to just one hit while striking out four batters over five innings. Offensively, Taipei's hits were well-distributed, with Tsai Yu-Ge leading the team with two hits. Chen Qi-Sheng, Chang Chun-Po, and Chen Shi-Rong each contributed a hit as well.

Since 2017, the Overseas Community Affairs Council (OCAC) of Taiwan has promoted the "Taiwan Youth Overseas Engagement Program," selecting outstanding university students from Taiwan to participate in overseas internships and visits during summer vacations. From July 6th to 8th, 2025, the Taiwanese Cultural Association in West Virginia (TCAWV) hosted a successful academic tour for 12 visiting Taiwanese students, introducing them to local academic units and research institutes.
A highlight of the tour was a significant banquet held on July 7th, warmly welcoming these students. The event also served to celebrate the deepening partnership between Taiwan and West Virginia across economic, educational, and cultural fronts. Key themes of the banquet included the growing collaboration between the Taiwanese and West Virginian governments and businesses, and the welcoming of these talented young students, symbolizing the promise of future international exchange.
